WBG Independent Bookstore Day 2024

CELEBRATE INDEPENDENT BOOKSTORE DAY AT THE WINCHESTER BOOK GALLERY! 

The Winchester Book Gallery is delighted to be celebrating  the 11th Independent Bookstore Day! We will be open 9 am to 9 pm with fun for everyone! Find us all day - join in the Northern Virginia IBD Passport Challenge, search for the Libro FM Gold Ticket, complete the Independent Bookseller challenges, and more.... 

The Winchester Book Gallery will have over 30 exclusive items for sale and as giveaways, from specialized tote bags, to banned books puzzles and water bottles. There will be food and raffle prizes from local vendors and games and activities for our whole community. This year we invite everyone to come be an Independent Bookseller for the Day! We are setting out bookselling themed challenges and games throughout the store. We will challenge you to create displays, alphabetize sections, find mis-shelved titles, discover how books explore the world, and much more!

This year we are also excited to have two small press authors at the Book Gallery on Independent Bookstore Day! Magdalene Dietchka will be here with The Physician an adult occult, supernatural, paranormal romantic novel. Riley Kilmore will also be here with Shay the Brave, a juvenile fantasy novel which includes magic and social themes. Independent Bookstore Day is a great day to stop in to meet an author, pick up their books and learn more about their writing process.
